Hands-On Training Equipment Options

Our live online courses include expert demonstrations on real equipment. But if you want to get your hands on the gear yourself, we've got you covered.

We offer training equipment rentals shipped directly to your location. Practice the same labs we demonstrate in class - and then some. Each rental includes access to additional lab exercises and video tutorials beyond what we cover in the live sessions.

Training Stations

Each base station includes an HD camera with gooseneck arm so the instructor can view your work, provide guidance, and verify lab completions.

Basic Electricity Training Station (BE Station)

Everything you need for hands-on basic electrical labs: multimeter, power supply, lamp modules, resistor modules, switches, relays, solenoid, capacitor module, fuse module, and more. Perfect for our BELTS (Basic Electrical Troubleshooting) course.

Budget Tight? - Here are some additional options:

Renting from us is the easiest option — the equipment matches exactly what we use in demonstrations. But if you need to save every dollar, here are some possible alternatives:

Use Pay-Later Options to Buy & Resell

Purchase items through payment plans like Klarna, PayPal Pay Later, or Amazon Pay Later — then resell on surplus sites before the first or second payment is due. You may take a small loss when liquidating, but it’s often cheaper than renting.

Buy Budget Versions from Amazon

Basic multimeters and electrical components can be found cheaply on Amazon or at your local Harbor Freight or Hardware stores. Quality varies, but they work fine for learning purposes.

Rent from Equipment Rental Companies

Companies like TEquipment, TRS-RenTelco, JM Test, and Transcat rent professional calibration and test equipment. This is a good option if you need specific higher end instruments for the course (TREX, etc.).

Borrow from Your Facility

If your plant or shop has the applicable equipment, ask if you can use it during the training. Many facilities are happy to support employee development this way.

Split the Cost with a Colleague

Know someone else needing the same course? Go in together on one rental station and rotate through the labs. A great way to cut costs in half while still getting hands-on experience with real equipment. It is also very helpful to do the lab exercises with a partner or colleague...

Buy Used from eBay, Then Resell

Calibrators and other test gear can often be found at a discount on eBay. Just make sure the listings guarantee functionality and accept returns - and test it immediately when it arrives! Lots of broken stuff sold on eBay... You can usually resell working equipment for close to the same market value you purchase it for if you shop carefully — often at a lower net cost than renting.

Keep in mind: Our course demonstrations and lab instructions are based on the equipment we rent. If you source your own with other brands or models, there may be minor differences in operation or features, so some labs may require adaptation on your part.
